CDC clarifies that young unvaccinated foreign travelers do not need to enter quarantine

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said Saturday that unvaccinated foreign nationals under the age of 18 traveling to USA by air they do not have to be quarantined upon arrival.

The director of the CDC, Rochelle Walensky, signed a revised decree on Saturday that clarifies that foreign children who have not been vaccinated against Covid-19 do not need to isolate themselves for seven days upon arrival at USA.

A CDC order issued Monday had raised alarm among some foreign travelers that their children would have to be quarantined for the entire length of time after arrival.

On November 8, the United States will lift extraordinary travel restrictions that have barred most non-U.S. Citizens who have been in the U.S. in the past 14 days from entering the country. United Kingdom, the 26 Schengen countries of Europe without border controls, Ireland, China, India, South Africa, Iran and Brazil.

It is also imposing new rules that require nearly all foreign adult air visitors to be vaccinated against Covid-19.
