Ford government opens meeting and event spaces for groups of 50 – The Canadian News

The Ford government is easing some of the restrictions when it comes to large-space meetings, as well as reducing some of the contact tracing information that bars and restaurants collect. In a statement released late Friday afternoon, companies that rent indoor meeting and event spaces will now be able to host up to 50 guests per room or event space. Employees or event staff do not count towards the allowed number. This will apply to convention centers, hotels, motels, resorts, banquet halls, and conference centers. Outdoor meeting and event facilities are still subject to the 100-person meeting limit for the entire outdoor area.
