ANTAD sales record their best March since 2018


Comparable sales of affiliates of the National Association of Self-Service and Department Stores (ANTAD) registered a growth of 8.8% during March 2022.

The result means its second consecutive deceleration since in February growth was 11.7% and in January it was 20.6 percent.

For the same month, this March was the most dynamic since 2018, since in that year the increase was 9.9% in the same stores.

At Total Stores, which includes stores opened in the last 12 months, growth was 10.9% compared to the same month of 2021, also showing less dynamism compared to the previous two months. Cumulative sales as of the third month of 2022 amounted to 313.5 billion pesos.

At the end of 2021, the commercial chains that make up ANTAD group together more than 46.6 thousand stores. The total sales area of ​​these establishments amounts to more than 21.9 million square meters.

For this 2022, ANTAD forecasts a growth in sales of 4.3% in equal units and 7.1% in all stores (which consider openings).
