“Today, 10 Canadian citizens were on board a flight organized by Qatar, which took off from Kabul, Afghanistan, to Doha. They will arrive in Canada in a few days, ”Foreign Minister Marc Garneau shared on Twitter.

This Qatar Airways flight is the second in a matter of hours to bring Canadians back home. On Thursday, 43 citizens were able to leave Afghanistan aboard a jet from the same company which brought back 200 non-Afghan passengers.

It is one of the few international deployments in this country since the departure of the Americans on August 31.

In two weeks, Canada managed to repatriate 3,700 people from this country once again ruled by the Taliban.
