A new festival presented at the Baie de Beauport this summer

Quebecor will give birth to a new music festival which will be presented over two days, in August, on the beach of the Baie de Beauport, learned The newspaper.

The name of the festival, its first headliners and the precise dates of its presentation are not yet known, the same for the number of spectators that we plan to welcome each day.

We know, however, that the organizers want to install a so-called “Californian” atmosphere on the site, which is therefore very relaxed, and that the artists in the program will come from the worlds of pop, rock and folk.

According to our information, this is a concept that the Gestev firm, owned by Quebecor, intended to launch in 2020, but the pandemic thwarted its plans.

Now that the health situation is improving, she is ready to return to the charge. “We are working on a musical project this summer,” said Martin Tremblay, big boss of Quebecor Sports and Entertainment Group, without giving more details.

Details later

An official announcement is expected in April.

Gestev has managed Beauport Bay since 2008. During the first summer of the pandemic, in 2020, the company presented concerts there by Roxane Bruneau, Bleu Jeans Bleu and several other Quebec artists in the cineparc format.

In 2016, the group Mumford and Sons had attracted more than 20,000 spectators there. Three years later, thousands of people had attended the concert of American star Flo Rida there.

About twenty shows featuring mainly local artists had also been presented on this site during the summer of 2019.
