The new Trinitat Vella swimming pool closes one day after opening to the public

The new Trinitat Vella swimming pool opened last Wednesday. It was opened to the public after a comprehensive refurbishment but had to be closed again a day later for another unexpected overhaul.

Just 24 hours after it began operating, Betevé reports, several pieces of the pool floor fell off. And that forced to empty part of the glass.

The workers began to repair the damage on Thursday morning, and proceeded to fill it out. The intention of the Center Municipal Esportiu Trinitat Vella is to reopen it this Friday.

The new swimming pool was inaugurated last Saturday, June 18, in an act in which the Councilor for Sports of the Barcelona City Council participated, David Escude. The remodeling was carried out by the Institut Barcelona Esports (IBE) and involved a municipal investment of 263,000 euros. The glass of the pool was changed to convert it into an overflow perimeter.
