The new Felipe Ángeles Airport has already received the permits to start on March 21 with the sale of fuels, where in addition Airports and Auxiliary Services (ASA) is also authorized by the Energy regulatory commission (CRE) to store the jet fuel that will arrive by tanker trucks at its facilities under the open access modality so that airlines can acquire capacity according to their needs. Only the infrastructure for transportation and storage of jet fuel had a cost for the government of almost 258 million pesos.
According to the PL/23973/EXP/AE/2022 permit granted by the regulator, the activity of vending at the aerodrome includes two tank trucks for jet fuel, with a capacity of 20,000 liters each. It also has a measurement and quality control system.
The equipment and vehicle for the sale of petroleum products in aerodromes represents an investment of 14 million 814,768 pesos, according to the approval of the permit.
On the other hand, in permit PL/23972/ALM/AE/2022, the provision of the petroleum storage service at aerodromes through a storage system with an operational capacity of 21 million litres.
The system will have three storage tanks for jet fuel, with a total design capacity of 22 million 50,000 liters (total operational capacity of 21 million liters). The reception of the product will be carried out by means of a tank truck through four unloading skids for double semi-trailer tank trucks and the delivery of the product will be carried out using two filling skids for tank trucks and a network of hydrants”, according to the permit.
In this case, the storage system considers an investment of 243 million 127,811 pesos.
And in the resolution that the CRE also approved, it was established that according to the current legal framework, the storage facilities will be of indiscriminate open access, so that as long as there is capacity, any airline that needs it can be connected.
According to Article 29.9 of the General Administrative Provisions (DACG) for the transport and storage of petroleum products, issued by the CRE in 2015, a physical interconnection to the System includes the equipment, pipes, valves and measurement systems necessary to make the connection. of coupling to the Transportation System, considering a maximum of 150 meters of pipe, without considering the distance that corresponds to the crossing of easements of way of the Transportation System and other rights of way and easements of infrastructure such as railway lines, roads and highways , power lines, other pipelines, etc., to the point of delivery to the user that is interconnected.
Finally, just last Wednesday the Felipe Angeles Airport also received the authorization of three permits for service stations for the sale of Regular gasoline, Premium and Dieselwhich already have the status of infrastructure in operation and will be part of the services that the new airport will have.
