Two young people aged 16 and 19 were arrested on the morning of January 16 in Caluire-et-Cuire, near Lyon, for the theft committed against a disabled person of 96 years, we learned this Wednesday from of the Sûreté du Rhône. They are suspected of having passed the victim in the middle of the street and of having stolen her wallet which she had placed in the basket of her walker.
The victim, who was not however injured, lodged a complaint in the wake, specifies the Lyon police. The investigators were able to easily identify the two thieves thanks to the images of the CCTV cameras, especially since they were already known to the police. And that one of them regularly frequented the Place Gabriel-Péri in Lyon.
Both admitted the facts during their hearing. The oldest will be judged in immediate appearance this Wednesday afternoon, indicates the Sûreté. The minor will be brought before the juvenile judge for an indictment for “theft in group from a vulnerable person”.
