He took a taxi to get to the Palace of Versailles and enter its enclosure. He was wearing a sheet and thought he was a king, according to the taxi driver, who after dropping him off, alerted the police shortly before 10:30 p.m. on Saturday.

No material damage to furniture and collections

The 31-year-old man was then arrested and taken into police custody. On their arrival on the spot, the police observed a broken French window glass before finding the man and proceeding to his arrest. The spokesperson for the Palace of Versailles assured that no material damage to the furniture or the collections was not to be deplored.
