Patriots prepare to return to action after team coronavirus outbreak

This Sunday, the Patriots will return to the field after a week without playing after the outbreak of coronavirus suffered in the bowels of the team. This Saturday, the players trained at the organization’s facilities ahead of the clash against the Denver Broncos.

Friday’s practice was canceled; however, for this Saturday they prepared for the clash against the Colorado team, which represents their fifth match on the calendar.

At the close of business on Friday, the Patriots placed center James Ferentz on the coronavirus restricted list, becoming the fifth member of the organization to be affected by the outbreak.

Other players, such as quarterback Cam Newton and cornerback Stephon Gilmore have also tested positive for COVID-19.

The Ferentz case raised the alarm and called into question the celebration of the meeting, something that Vic Fangio, coach of the Broncos, responded.

“We are under the assumption and understanding that this game is going to come out on time. And anything that happens otherwise will happen when it happens,” said the boss.
