A young man was seriously injured in a shooting that occurred at a residence in the city of Mount Royal.

Around 1:45 a.m., police received a 911 call to report that someone had been injured by gunshots at a home on Trenton Ave. near Aberdare Rd., According to Montreal police spokeswoman Caroline Chèvrefils.

When police arrived at the scene, they found the victim, believed to be about 18 years old, unconscious on the ground. He was wounded in the upper part of the body by more than one bullet. He was taken to hospital and remains in critical condition.
