YOU SAID: Money for nothing

Here are today’s letters from the Ottawa Sun to the editor.

MONEY FOR NOTHING

Once again, Justin Trudeau has played his favorite Dire Straits song: Money For Nothing.

Another $ 600 million for a failed vanity pick and once again poor Justin’s disappointment.

After wasting millions on another failed vanity campaign to secure a seat on the United Nations Security Council, I can’t believe Canadians aren’t fed up with this refrain after six years.

Unfortunately, it will be our grandchildren who will eventually have to pay the piper for their uselessness.

BOB SAUNDERS

(It is shameful).

AND SO IT GOES ON

Justin Trudeau’s astonishing arrogance, outright brashness, intemperate insolence, recklessness and hypocrisy continue to amaze.

Here is an alleged “leader” who plunged the country into unnecessary elections, supposedly because Parliament failed to function. Now, after spending over half a billion dollars, half a billion! – For nothing, we have practically the same match classification and this guy has the nerve to say that the results give him a mandate to continue? Why or how is this Parliament different or better than the previous one?

The only thing I see continuing is their profligacy that bankrupts the nation and their obsessive need for control, transforming Canada into an almost dictatorial nanny state. As if the government intrusion wasn’t bad enough anymore.

Thank you irresponsible and self-indulgent voters of Toronto and 905.

MIKE ALAIN

OTTAWA

(Toronto and 905 can’t take all the blame for this one.)

YOU WERE WRONG AGAIN

Once again, despite opinion writers’ daily anti-liberal tirades and attempts to manipulate the masses with their tirade, voters decided who to vote for, regardless of the Sun’s best attempts to convince them otherwise.

When will the Sun find out that people buy its newspaper for news, not opinions? Your opinion writers have never gotten it right yet.

OUR VOICES ARE NOT HEARD

Our election is over and it has been won by the Liberals and yet I wonder how many others feel like me, that this government has continually not heard our voices. We pay a lot in taxes and we are about to pay a lot more, but we have a government that does not listen to its people.

Perhaps the ruling party of Canada should be reminded that the American Revolution began in response to unrepresented taxation. Are you listening, Justin Trudeau?

DAVID LANGDON

OTTAWA

(Isn’t democracy fun?)

SHOULD HAVE WASHED IT

Here we go again, $ 600 million later, and we are exactly where we were when the election was called. I should have flushed the money down the toilet; has the same result.

Justin Trudeau once again called Jody Wilson-Raybould a liar. He abandoned the Canadians in Afghanistan. It carried out events in contravention of sanitary regulations. Throw anyone under the bus to take care of their catastrophes. Remember the indigenous drinking water problem? Six years after their first election, indigenous drinking water remains a problem. Two Canadians remain incarcerated in China. He claims that Canada, under his leadership, is part of the international condemnation of China’s treatment of Uighurs, yet when a vote was held in Parliament, he was not there. Awarding the administration of a $ 912 million contract to a charity that paid his family members more than a quarter of a million dollars is fine with him.

Part of a small list. A dark time for Canada.

HAWKESBURY

(Indeed.)
