Re: Thank the Americans, letters, September 29

As a Canadian, I thank our Canadian government for bringing the two Michaels, Kovrig and Spavor, back to Canada. People just want to attack the Canadian government and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. People don’t understand that it takes time and diplomacy to deal with other countries.

Thanks to the Canadian government and the Prime Minister. Yes, it took time, and yes, thanks to President Joe Biden for his help, but it was Canada that did all the work.

If you are Canadian and happy to live in Canada, start showing it. If not, go live somewhere else. I am sick of hearing negative comments about our government and Canada. I just want to say thank you Canada, I am proud to be Canadian.

IN THE YEAR 2110

A conversation from the year 2110:

Son: Hi, Dad. I’m home.

Dad: How was school today?

Son: Okay, the teacher was rambling again. He said that when grandfather was 70 years old, the government paid him to stay home. What a joker.

Dad: No, actually that’s true, your grandfather and great grandfather were getting that too, but Great Grandad started at 65. I think it was called the Canada Pension Plan or CPP.

Son: Wow. How come you don’t understand that dad? You are 75 years old and still working.

Dad: Well, in the time of Great Grandpa, something happened and it went from bad to worse. Our national debt got bigger and bigger, then all of our creditors demanded to be paid, so we almost declared bankruptcy. But a very rich country was kind enough to pay our debt, but with some conditions that had to be agreed.

Son: I bet it was that COVID thing that Great Grandpa was talking about.

Dad: No, it was actually something called Liberals.

Son: Wow, what were the conditions, dad?

Dad: We had to erase our entire history and change the name of the country to CHINADA.

PONZI SCHEME

For more than 25 years, the CO2 targets of successive United Nations climate change agreements have been ignored by all but a few, the signatories to Kyoto, Paris, et al. A reasonable person might conclude that climate goals are not the problem.

Perhaps the push from Canada and Germany, in particular, to coerce our Western climate “elite” into a $ 100 billion per year pledge to help least developed countries meet their Paris targets at their next meeting in Glasgow is the real goal. . Yes, cash-strapped Western countries, struggling to finance their climate goals, are also being asked to finance less developed countries. Do you realize that money doesn’t grow on trees? In addition, China, India, Russia and the United States, which together account for more than 50 percent of CO2 emissions, have not committed to following the targets agreed by the UN.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is the only leader of an oil and gas producing country to commit to locking in billions of dollars in natural resources and committing to climate goals that will seriously jeopardize the financial situation of the federal government. Point out virtue to the world at what cost to the Canadian public?

The “elites” of the climate agenda (especially Trudeau) ask us to accept a Ponzi scheme, not a climate agenda.
