KING SHOULD BE OUT

Re: Convoy leader hit with perjury, obstruction charges, April 20

Convoy organizer Pat King has become the escapegoat for the state. Being charged with perjury and obstructing justice is absolutely no reason to keep this man inside. Believe me, if King had been an organizer for some trendy progressive cause he would not have been inside for more than 24 hours if, in fact, at all.

It is absolutely shameful that he was denied his freedom. Heavens, people have been granted bail for far more dangerous crimes. Sadly, Mr. Freeze wants his pound of flesh and is determined to make an example out of Mr. King for the main goal of deterring others who may want to go against his government.

PARTIES AND RELIGION

Supporting a political party is like supporting a religion. No matter how much scientific evidence is presented to discredit the righteousness of their policies, it is impossible to accept evil perpetrated by a leadership that denies their wrongdoing. Attributing all wrongs to a different party continues to strengthen an adherence to their chosen allegiance. Ultimate truth relies on the freedom of the press that is the first to be eliminated by leaderships that deny freedom to the citizenry. Hitler, Stalin, Mao and now Putin recognize the value of continual lies that cannot be presented by a press essential for a truthful leadership. The demise of democracy assures a continuation of megalomaniacal leaders who willingly treat others as inferiors deserving of genocide.

JUST BREATHE

The NDP is just a relic, a statue that should be sent to the quarry for regrind to build a sidewalk that we can all walk on and over as a reminder we don’t want any. We just cannot afford these political luxuries anymore when Canadians have lost their jobs and their appetite for socialism and just returning to work, or picking up the pieces of their businesses. After COVID-19 we need to start life and living over again and get out from under the terrible burdens of climate tax and “a tax here, a tax there, everywhere a tax, tax.” Time to put tacks on the benches to get the politicians up and working for Canada, not wearing lined steel jackets and trousers to rule safely for another few years, passing time and more taxes. And maybe we can realize this is really a classical gas we have been suffocating under to just break out and breathe our own air not taxed.

(The NDP likes to claim they wrestled free stuff out of the Liberals in exchange for their support. But who pays for all of that? The very people they claim these programs will help are going to be the ones paying for them with higher taxes. )
