A 46-year-old woman was in stable condition in hospital Thursday afternoon after she was struck by a car Wednesday night in the city’s La Petite-Patrie district.

Montreal police said the incident occurred around 10 pm when a car traveling south on de Lorimier Ave. struck the woman as she tried to cross at the intersection of St-Zotique St. E.

The 63-year-old driver of the car was treated for nervous shock and is collaborating with investigators.

The incident remains under investigation, however police say neither alcohol nor excessive speed were factors.
