Winter Weather Travel Advisory issued for London, Ontario. – London | The Canadian News

A winter weather travel advisory was issued Tuesday morning for London, Ontario and Middlesex County, as well as areas to the east and north of the region.

Environment Canada is calling for “brief but heavy snowfall.”

The national weather agency says it is possible for an inch of snow to fall in an hour on the heaviest bands. In total, it is possible that 2 to 5 cm of snow will fall before it comes out around 9 am on Tuesday.

The meteorological agency adds that “traveling can be dangerous due to sudden changes in the weather.”

The snowfall adds to several inches of snow that have fallen since the end of last week, leaving the London region covered in snow.

Locally, the forecast calls for a high of 3 C and a nighttime low of -3 C. Forecasters say the gusts could turn into rain Tuesday afternoon before the temperature drops overnight.
