Windsor woman facing charges in Chatham after driving while impaired

A 30-year-old Windsor woman was arrested by police Friday night in Chatham for driving while impaired and is now also facing additional charges.

Around 8:30 pm, police were notified of a suspected impaired driver on the roadway and responded to the area on the Queens Line.

Chatham-Kent police located the vehicle and the woman was determined to be impaired by drugs. She was arrested and charged.

The woman was also found to be on court conditions to not be in the company of a passenger that was in the vehicle with her, so has been additionally charged.

Police did not release the identity of the woman who continues to be held pending bail at Chatham-Kent police headquarters.
