Windsor police investigating Buckingham Drive shooting incident

The Windsor Police Service major crime unit is seeking the public’s assistance for any information in relation to a shooting incident at 12:30 am Friday in the 1500 block of Windsor’s Buckingham Drive.

A small, dark colored sedan was seen leaving the scene at a high rate of speed northbound on Buckingham Drive and then westbound on South National Street.

A residence and a parked vehicle in the 1500 block of Buckingham Drive sustained damage from being struck with bullets. Officers found several spent shell casings on the rod at the scene.

No injuries were reported from the incident.

The major crime unit is actively investigating and is asking anyone with surveillance cameras and vehicles equipped with dash cams that are in the area located between Reginald Street and South National Street and in the area located westbound on South National Street from Buckingham Drive to check their footage for possible evidence.

Investigators believe that this was a targeted incident.

The public is being advised to use caution as the firearm remains outstanding. If either the suspect vehicle or suspect(s) are seen do not approach.
