It is “1989 (Taylor Version)” finally on the horizon?
Taylor Swift — the queen of sending her fans on a hunt for hidden clues and the meaning behind every post, comment and move — just announced the surprise release of “This Love (Taylor’s Version)” from her Grammy-winning album “1989.” in 2014, next Friday. at midnight.
The singer made the announcement after the release of the trailer for “The Summer I Got Pretty” an upcoming Amazon show based on a series of books by Jenny Hanwho is also the author of “To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before” Serie. The trailer features “This Love (Taylor’s Version)”.

Swift has been busy re-recording her first five albums: “Taylor Swift”; “Fearless” (re-released April 2021); “Speak Now”; “Red” (re-released November 2021); and “1989”, to gain new ownership of her catalog after music executive Scooter Braun bought and sold her master recordings.
So does this single mean “1989” is your next album to be re-released? Fans have been wondering if “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” is on the way for a year now, but Swift hasn’t announced any plans for an upcoming album release. This is what we know so far.
New ‘1989’ Merchandise Is On Sale, Along With ‘Speak Now’
Swift recently released new “1989” merchandise, currently available to purchase at her website. So is this a sign?
Maybe, but maybe not. Swift also has merchandise for sale for her 2010 album “Speak Now,” which has yet to be re-recorded.
Still, it’s not the first time “1989” merchandise has sparked speculation about the album. Last summer, Swift released a line of merchandise called “Just a Summer Thing” that featured the same sky blue color as the album and read “EST. 1989,” the name of the album, but also Swift’s year of birth. Fans were almost convinced “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” was coming soon… only for Swift to drop it “Red (Taylor Version)” instead, in November 2021.

The single ‘Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version)’ debuted in September
After announcing that “Red” would be her next re-recorded album, Swift delivered a curveball to fans in September 2021 with the surprise release of “Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version),” from “1989.”
He released the song before releasing any “Red (Taylor’s Version)” singles.
“Someone said slow zoom makes you look like the main character. I said make it the Taylor version please,” Swift wrote. tik tok Video announcing the re-recording.

He also used a TikTok trend as an opportunity to promote the song, encouraging fans to use the audio from “Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version)” in their videos.
“If you want to use my version of the wildest dreams for the slow zoom trend, here it is!” read the text in the video.
“Wildest Dreams” hadn’t exactly come out of our cultural lexicon. “Bridgerton” fans will remember an instrumental version of “Wildest Dreams” that appeared in the first season of the series released in December 2020.
It just goes to show that, with Swift, it might be better to expect the unexpected.
