The festival of Sant Joan has arrived, and with it pyrotechnics. However, this year the date set coincides at a critical moment for Catalonia, where more than two hundred fires have been located in various areas of the Catalan territory. Thus, between the forest fires and a heat wave that has just ended, there is a very high risk of fire that has been translated into concern to stop and not cause more fires than have already occurred.

Thus, to try to combat this situation, the Generalitat’s Minister of the Interior, Joan Ignacio Elena, has detailed that specific measures will be announced with a margin of 24 hours maximum together with the data referring to the meteorology. Thus, the Government has stressed that during these days the need for citizen collaboration it is vital for the precaution and use of forest sites.
