Here’s a partial list of what’s open and closed on Friday

— Federal and provincial government offices will be closed.
—Municipal offices will be closed.
— Shopping malls and large-surface stores, including grocery stores, will be closed. Smaller stores and drugstores may remain open. Restaurants, bars and gas stations can remain open.
— Most major bank branches will be closed.
— SAQ and SQDC outlets will be closed.
— Canada Post will not collect or deliver mail, and Canada Post offices will be closed.
— The Atwater, Jean-Talon and Maisonneuve markets will be open.
— Most city of Montreal offices will be closed, including borough offices, Access Montreal offices and permit counters. Some online services will be available.
— Collections of household waste, bulky items, recyclable materials, food waste and green waste will take place at their regularly scheduled time in all Montreal boroughs.

— Montreal swimming pools and sports centers will operate on schedules set by boroughs. Please check your local borough’s website for more information or go to loisirs.montreal.ca.
— The Municipal Court on Gosford St. will be closed.
— Montreal’s eco-centres will be open from 8 am to 6 pm

— Exo commuter trains for Vaudreuil-Dorion will run on a Sunday schedule. For St-Jérôme, they will run on a weekend schedule. There will be no service on the Mont-Saint-Hilaire, Candiac or Mascouche lines. Exo bus routes will operate on a Saturday schedule.
— Société de transport de Montréal buses and métros will run on a special holiday schedule. Check stm.info
—Société de transport de Laval buses will be on a Sunday schedule.
— The Réseau de transport de Longueuil will operate on a Sunday schedule. Regular trips on adapted transit are cancelled, so clients must request all rides, which are available from 6:30 am to 1 am
