West Windsor Mass Vaccination Center to Open Jan.5

The Dr. Y Emara Center for Healthy Aging and Mobility on the Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare campus (1453 Prince Rd. In Windsor) will function as a COVID-19 vaccination site in the new year.

As part of the region’s vaccination efforts against COVID-19, a new mass vaccination site will open in the west end of Windsor on January 5.

The clinic will operate at the Dr. Y Emara Center for Healthy Aging and Mobility on the Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare campus, 1453 Prince Rd.

The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit has partnered with HDGH to develop the site.

The hours of operation will be from 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday; noon to 4 pm on Tuesdays and Fridays.

The focus of the clinic at this time is vaccination appointments. Walk-ins will not be accepted.

First doses, second doses and third doses will be offered.

The WEVax.ca The website will begin booking appointments for the site on December 29 at 8 am. For more information, call 226-773-2200.

Janice Kaffer, outgoing president and CEO of HDGH, said Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare is eager to assist in the ongoing local response to the pandemic.
