The Onhwa’ Lumina project led by Tourisme Wendake will be inspired by Huron-Wendat cultural myths and symbols, in nature. The course will be designed by the firm Moment Factory, as revealed by Le Journal in April.

The experience of approximately 50 minutes will take place at nightfall on a 1.2 kilometer long route in the Rémi woods.

“I salute the government for this substantial aid which allows us to consolidate the financing of the Onhwa’ Lumina immersive course, a signature event for the tourism industry and the influence of Wendake”, declared Grand Chief Rémy Vincent.

“The Huron-Wendat have a fascinating story and traditions to tell, and this artistic display gives us a privileged opportunity to do so. We look forward to welcoming visitors from across Quebec to Wendake and welcoming them to our magnificent territory,” he added.

The course will be accessible 10 months a year, from May to October and from December to March, for a period of 10 years. The work will be carried out in the spring of 2022 for an opening scheduled for the summer of 2022.
