Repair crews are carrying out emergency work to fix a damaged pipe as quickly as possible, the city said. A notice will be issued by the city as soon as the situation has been restored.

Residents affected by the interruption will receive drinking water starting Friday at noon, the city of Montreal said Thursday in a tweet. It will be distributed directly to residences.

The affected area includes Pierrefonds Blvd. between St-Charles Blvd. and Nanterre St., as well as between Guillaume and Émile-Nelligan Sts., the city said.
