The first official fall storm is on its way to the southern coast of British Columbia, prompting a rain warning from Environment Canada.
Residents of Metro Vancouver, Howe Sound and the eastern parts of Vancouver Island are warned of heavy rains that begin Sunday and last through Sunday night.

Metro Vancouver forecasts that between 50 and 70mm of rain could fall, before the “moisture-laden frontal system” arrives Monday morning.
Forecasters are also forecasting strong southeast winds of 40 km / h and gusts of up to 60 km / h on Sunday evening.
Residents are reminded to watch out for flooding and puddles on the roads and to clean up any potential drainage areas on or around their properties.
