Now, just nine days later, their grandmother has also succumbed to burns and smoke inhalation resulting from the massive blaze on Conestoga Dr.

The death count of this horrific fire is now at six.

While Peel Regional Police did not confirm the sixth death, the children’s grandfather, Luis Felipa, said his ex-wife, Bonnie O’Dea, died Wednesday after a valiant battle in hospital.

She was 58.

“Bonnie may you rest in peace,” Felipa wrote on Facebook.

Also killed in this fire were Alia Marilyn Ali-O’Dea, 10, Jayden Prince Ali-O’Dea, 8, Layla Rose Ali-O’Dea, 6, and parents Raven Dawn Ali-O’Dea, 30, and Nazir Ali, 29.

“Raven is waiting for you up in Heaven with the kids and Nazir,” said Felipa, who says he’s devastated he’s lost most of his family.

Brampton Fire and the Ontario Fire Marshal have yet to release the cause of the fire but both warned of the importance each home must have working smoke detectors.

We apologize, but this video has failed to load.

Felipa said the only positive that can possibly come out of this fire is that it could help save another family from such a horrible fate.

Bonnie O’Dea had been in an induced coma since going to hospital.

“Please everyone who knew Bonnie, and even if you didn’t, say a prayer for her,” said Felipa.
