Wall Street trades profitable after sharp drop by Omicron

The main stock indices of the US market operate with gains this Monday. Wall Street advances after having suffered strong falls on Friday, before the discovery of a new variant of Covid-19. Top-performing tech companies in the pandemic lead the gains.

The index Nasdaq, which have an important component of technology companies, advanced 1.01% and led the increases, in 15,648.34 points. The reference S&P 500, made up of shares of 500 firms, gains 0.69% to 4,626.35 points. The Dow Jonesof 30 industrial giants, it moves 0.02% to 34,905.03 points.

In operations, the behavior of Twitter Inc. stands out. Its papers appreciated in pre-opening operations up to 10% and its listing was suspended. According to some reports from CNBC, the company’s chief executive, Jack Dorsey, would be close to leaving the head of the firm.
