Wall Street opens flat on a day with low volume of operations

The major Wall Street indices were trading little changed at Wednesday’s open, amid low trading volumes.

Added to this was a perception of caution among investors after new daily cases of coronavirus reached a record.

In this way, the industrial average Dow Jones rose 22.93 points, 0.06%, to 36,421.14 units.

Meanwhile, the index S&P 500 gained 2.29 points, 0.05%, to 4,788.64 units; and the composite index Nasdaq added 13.20 points, 0.08%, to 15,794.92 units.
