Wall Street advances 0.30% at the beginning of the last week of the year

The New York Stock Exchange opened higher on its last Monday of the year. At the start of the day, the S&P 500 hit all-time highs again, while the Dow Jones advanced 0.30% and the Nasdaq other 0.38 percent.

Minutes after the open, the S&P 500 rose 22.82 points, or 0.48%, to 4,748.61 units.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average, meanwhile, gained 114.80 points, at 36,065.36 units and the Nasdaq added 78.09 points, at 15,731.46 units.

In the last day of last week, on Thursday, the Dow Jones index closed with a rise of 0.55%, to 35,950.56 points.

For its part, the Nasdaq, of great technological weight, rose 0.85%, to 15,653.37 points; and the S&P 500 by 0.62%, to 4,725.79 points, a historical maximum and the 68th of the year.
