Visitor cards are given to pregnant women

Pregnant women and minors who make up the caravan of migrants that left Tapachula, Chiapas a few days ago, will receive Visiting Cards for Humanitarian Reasons granted by the National Institute of Migration (INM).

This immigration document allows foreigners to transit through our country. In order to guarantee transparency and security during the granting of these cards, the institute established communication with the National Human Rights Commission (CNDH), which will accompany people in this process that includes the delivery of documents and support for accommodation in open-door shelters, as well as food.

According to the latest reports, this group of people arrived in Escuintla, Chiapas after noon yesterday, where they regained strength after walking several kilometers. After 5 in the afternoon the caravan traveled to the Acacoyagua municipality, where they will spend the night.
