The Mossos d’Esquadra have arrested a robber in lleida after reducing it from shot in the leg. According to a statement from the Catalan police, one of the agents has used his regulation weapon against the man when he has pounced on them armed with a large knife. The recordings that various citizens have taken with their mobile phone from the sequence are already circulating on social networks.
The events occurred around eleven in the morning, when the Mossos received a notice informing them that a robbery was taking place in a bank on Artesa Avenue in Lleida. A man brandishing a knife was threatening employees and customers. The first regional police patrols have arrived at the scene when the robber had not yet fled.

According to the images captured by citizens, the man has been seen surrounded by several agents of Seguretat Ciutadana who have ordered him to drop the knife while they pointed the gun at him. However, the robber ignores him. Finally, one of the officials approaches from behind and hit with the extendable baton the hand of man, so that drop the knife. The maneuver seems to achieve its purpose, in the images it gives the impression that the knife falls to the ground. According to the statement, the man has been rushed to the Arnau de Vilanova hospital. In principle, he does not fear for his life. There have been no further injuries in the incident.
