Respondents mentioned walking (84 percent), observing nature (69 percent) and relaxing (59 percent) as what they planned to do in the 196,396-square-meter nature park. Family activities (37%) or sports (36%) were also mentioned. While about 39 percent of people said they would like to hang out with their dog, many residents expressed concern that dog owners are not following leash rules or picking up their dog’s waste. The city noted that residents expect to find picnic tables, benches, shaded areas and wildlife facilities, such as nest boxes, at the site.

People also expressed interest in snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and skating in the winter, and outdoor physical activity, yoga, and cycling classes in the summer. Approximately 38 percent of those surveyed would like to see a day camp hosted in the nature park.
