Motorists in the area of ​​the University of BC are being advised that overnight paving work will require road closures all week.

Mainroad Contracting began the paving on Sunday and expects to close at least one lane on several routes around UBC through Friday.

The remaining closures are as follows:

Tuesday, May 10, to Wednesday, May 11: 8 pm to 6 am

• The westbound fast lane will be closed on SW Marine Drive between Wesbrook Mall and West 16th Avenue

• The eastbound fast lane will be closed on Chancellor Boulevard from Hamber Road to Drummond Drive

Wednesday, May 11, to Thursday, May 12: 8 pm to 6 am

• The southbound fast lane will be closed on NW Marine Drive between West Mall and University Boulevard

• The southbound fast lane will be closed on SW Marine Drive from West 16th to Old Marine Drive

Thursday, May 12, to Friday, May 13: 8 pm to 6 am

• The eastbound fast lane will be closed on SW Marine Drive between Old Marine Drive and Wesbrook

Drivers are urged to watch for road signs, traffic control and roadside workers in the area while the work is underway.
