Starting next Monday, June 27, the federal government will start vaccinating girls and boys between 5 and 11 years old against Covid-19, as announced by the Undersecretary for Prevention and Health Promotion, Hugo Lopez-Gatell.
López-Gatell Ramírez pointed out that until June 21, he had registered on the portal of the Health Secretary 3 million 15,979 children in that age range.
Similarly, he explained that the Phase 7 of the National Vaccination Plan It will last approximately three months and recommended that those who have Covid-19 wait 15 days to apply the vaccine.
For his part and during his morning conference, President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador reported that the biological with which minors will be vaccinated, Pfizer, arrived Thursday morning at Mexico City International Airport.
The president specified that around 804,000 doses against Covid-19 arrived in the first shipment.
These doses are part of the contract signed by the federal government and the pharmaceutical company for more than 8 million to immunize this population segment.
In a brief reference, López Obrador reported that both the Secretary of National Defense as the Marine Secretary will be in charge of distributing the biological in the country.
