One of the most surprising reactions as a result of the Russian invasion of Ukraine has been the way in which the EU has responded to this aggression. The speed and cohesion of its response through the approval of no more and no less than five sanctions packages in just one month or the approval of the Fund for Peace which, for the first time, allows weapons to be sent to a third country, is just one example of the reactivity with which Brussels is working at the moment.
