The UEFA announced that it will proceed to a new draw for the knockout stages of the Champions League, at 14:00 GMT, after acknowledging “a technical problem” that led to the cancellation of the draw held shortly before this Monday.
“Due to a technical problem with a third-party service provider’s program that tells managers which teams are eligible to play each other, a computer error occurred during the draw. Therefore, the draw was declared void and it will be held in full again at 14:00 GMT, “said the instance.
Following a technical problem with the software of an external service provider that instructs the officials as to which teams are eligible to play each other, a material error occurred in the draw for the UEFA Champions League Round of 16.
