Two Youth Killed in NDG Car Accident; EIB will investigate

A cyclist is in critical condition after another incident at LaSalle.

Two men were killed and another seriously injured in two separate incidents Thursday night and early Friday morning in southwest Montreal.

The worst incident occurred shortly after 2:20 am on Friday. Sûreté du Québec officers tried to intercept a vehicle traveling on Highway 15 S. The driver refused to stop, police said.

Shortly after, the vehicle crashed on Highway 15 N., near the Sherbrooke St. exit, in the Notre-Dame-de-Grâce district. The two men in the vehicle, aged 16 and 18, were killed.

The Independent Investigations Office (EIB) will investigate.

A little earlier, around 11:20 pm Thursday, a bicyclist was violently struck by a car on Angrignon Blvd. overpass near Notre-Dame St. in LaSalle.

The 27-year-old cyclist was in critical condition at the hospital and the driver of the car, a 29-year-old man, suffered shock but did not have to be hospitalized.

Montreal Police collision experts will conduct an investigation.
