Two pedestrians suffer fatal injuries in Ouellette accident

Two men are fighting for their lives after being hit by a vehicle in downtown Windsor on Thursday night.

Windsor police say two male pedestrians were found dumped in the street in the 600 block of Ouellette Avenue when officers responded to a reported collision at 7:45 p.m.

A vehicle with a damaged front end was parked at the site.

Both men suffered fatal injuries and were immediately taken to hospital, where they remained on Friday afternoon.

Investigators determined that the vehicle involved was heading north on Ouellette Avenue when the two men, who were crossing the street, were run over.

The Windsor Police Traffic Reconstruction Unit and Forensic Identification Unit attended and processed the scene.

Police are asking residents, business owners, or anyone in the area with security cameras or dash cameras to look for footage that can help with the investigation.
