Two classes and a cohort of bus students at St. Gabriel Catholic Elementary School have been told to stay home after exposure to COVID-19, school officials said Saturday.

There are three confirmed cases of COVID-19 at the school, school board officials from the Windsor-Essex Catholic District said on Saturday.

Families from two classes and a group of buses have been notified with instructions to keep their students home beginning Monday.

The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit is reaching out to affected individuals, including staff, with instructions. The health unit will also notify when affected students can return to school.
