Two arrested in Girona for stealing the pension of a homeless man

The Mossos d’Esquadra have arrested in Torroella de Montgrí (Girona) a two men aged 53 and 41 from Ullà (Baix Empordà) for stealing the bank account of a homeless person and keeping the pension money he receives.

Since June, both arrested took advantage of the victim’s vulnerability to keep the card and were withdrawing cash.

Finally, the victim decided to close the account and that was when the insults and threats began by the two men to get him to give them a new card and continue getting money.

Based on the complaint that was filed, the Mossos opened an investigation that concluded on December 1 with the arrest of both suspects. Those arrested, with multiple antecedents, will be summoned to testify before the Bisbal d’Empordà guard judge shortly.
