With an investment of more than 150 million dollars, AMR Collection added two new hotels to its portfolio of operations in Mexico: in Punta Mita, Nayarit, which now have an occupancy of 70%. Last-minute reservations and less rigid sanitation in Canada are expected to close the year 10 percentage points higher.
“We opened three months ago and since then the occupancy has been constantly growing, despite the fact that September is usually the low season. The results are because people want to travel after confinement. The beach is a good alternative and, in addition, we are under the umbrella of a brand that is fully recognized, “said Yann Le Guillou at a press conference.
Since its opening, it has been in charge of the two hotels under the Dreams and Secrets brands (with 363 and 278 rooms), which are on the same property and were developed under the direction of Sordo Madaleno y Arquitectos. One of its attractions is a large circular waterfall that leads to a cenote.
Another natural factor that can play in favor of real estate is that the next winter in the US and Canada has been forecast to be intense, which will encourage the flow of travelers to Mexico.
Currently, six out of every ten guests are Americans and the rest are nationals, mainly from Guadalajara, Monterrey and Mexico City.
In their operation, the hotels (67 and 68 of AMR Collection in Mexico) generate about a thousand jobs and have seismic isolators, generating peace of mind for their clients. According to the manager, the complex is 98% complete and will be fully completed by the end of the year. Among the infrastructure in which they do final details is a theater.
The travel experience
Due to their location, the two hotels have a land reserve where they have started an orchard in which it is planned to offer gastronomic experiences, which will include the collection of food.
Another attraction that has been added to the new buildings are the entertainment spaces for children and young people, offering alternatives that complement their stay. The rooms for holding congresses and conventions, in which the health protocols established by the local authorities are followed, are also growing (they have already added about 20), as well as the holding of weddings.
