Unveiled Tuesday, the Dr. Lisa Ventrella-Lucente Healing Garden was created by Transition to Betterness (T2B) in honor of a long-time board member and advocate for patient care who died of cancer in 2015.

“Our new healing garden is another exciting venture for T2B that takes our mission of comfort outdoors,” said Amber Hunter, T2B executive director. “The garden will provide a unique opportunity for positive escape from clinical settings. We have designed this garden to help facilitate the healing elements of nature.”

Several community partners contributed to the garden project’s capital campaign, including the Ventrella family, the Stephanie and Barry Zekelman Foundation, the Lisa and Brian Schwab Foundation, and more.
