Tourism Windsor Essex Pelee Island on Wednesday released the 2022/2023 version of its annual Visitor Guide — traditionally the unofficial kickoff to the local tourism season.
The guide gets distributed across the province and several US states to encourage visitors to this region, but also serves as a great blueprint for anyone locally wishing to explore, said Gordon Orr, CEO of Tourism Windsor Essex.
“This year’s guide will stand out on display racks and on coffee tables, featuring an experience in our vineyards showing friends and family coming together for a unique buyable experience,” he said. “More than ever people are looking for unique experiences and tours when they plan a trip, and this year’s guide is packed with 92 pages of unique opportunities available in Windsor Essex.

“Our industry was hit the hardest during the COVID-19 pandemic and will take the longest to recover. The release of the visitor guide is a positive step in the reopening of the industry.”
Tourism Windsor Essex in partnership with Devonshire Mall from Thursday through Saturday is hosting the Staycation Expo at the mall.
The event encourages local residents to explore great things to see and do in their own back yard. The Staycation Expo includes exhibitors profiling key attractions, tour options, wineries, craft breweries, summer festivals and other amenities while exhibiting inside Devonshire Mall.
“This weekend thousands will learn more about our region and be able to share those messages with their friends and together explore more of our region,” Orr said.
Locals residents are encouraged to visit the Staycation Expo this weekend to pick up their own copy of the 2022/2023 Official Visitor Guide or visit online for more information at visitwindsoressex.com.
