Toronto Pride is back in full swing. Here’s a rundown of the major events this weekend


Pride Month is ending on a high note this summer with its first in-person festival weekend since 2019. Here’s the rundown on when and where major events are happening, and what roads are closed this weekend.

Trans Rally and March

On Friday, the trans rally starts at 7 pm on the corner of Charles and Church streets. The march starts at 8 pm, heading north on Church Street. The route will turn west along Bloor Street, south on Yonge Street, east on Carlton Street and end at Allan Gardens, where the after-party will commence!

Dyke Rally and March

On Saturday, the Dyke rally starts at 1 pm on the corner of Charles and Church. The march will follow the same route as the trans march on Friday and end with an after-party at Allan Gardens until 11 pm

pride parade

The Pride Parade starts at 2 pm Sunday on the corner of Church and Bloor. The route turns south on Yonge and ends at Yonge-Dundas Square. Head to the TD Main Stage to see Priyanka, winner of Season 1 of “Canada’s Drag Race,” perform between 9:30 and 11 pm

Festival Grounds

Along the way, check out the Festival Grounds, located along Church between Bloor and Dundas Street East. Add to an interactive mural at the Art Zone between Carlton Street and McGill Street; check out the vendors, community organizers and DJs at the street fair between Bloor Street East and Dundas Street East, and get some grub at the Food Zone from Gerrard Street to Dundas Street East.

Rest Stops

At the Alexander Street Parkette, a Wellness Zone offers an area away from the festivities to unwind and reset. Pride is also offering a sober “Oasis” every day of the weekend between 1 and 11 pm with entertainment, and areas to relax and recover.

Festival weekend is packed with live music and performances at multiple locations. This weekend’s programming includes the Drag Ball, the Trans Pride and Dyke Pride after-parties, Blockorama and Priyanka LIVE! Go to pridetoronto.com/events for information.

Road Closures and Transportation

Road closures and restrictions start on June 24 through June 27 between Bloor Street East, Yonge Street, Church Street and Dundas Street East. Here are the main roads closed for Festival Weekend.

June 24, 8 am-June 27, 7 a.m.

  • Church Street between Dundas Street East and Hayden Street
  • Wellesley Street East between Yonge Street and Jarvis Street

June 24, 7-9:30 p.m.

  • Church Street between Bloor Street East and Hayden Street

  • Bloor Street East between Church Street and Yonge Street
  • Yonge Street between Bloor Street and Carlton Street
  • Carlton Street between Yonge Street and Jarvis Street

June 25, 2-5 p.m.

  • Church between Hayden and Bloor Street East
  • Bloor Street East between Church and Yonge
  • Yonge St. between Bloor Street East and Carlton Street
  • Carlton between Yonge and Jarvis

June 26

  • Bloor Street East between Yonge Street and Ted Rogers Way, noon to 6 pm
  • Yonge between Bloor Street East and Queen Street East, noon to 6 pm
  • Dundas St. East between Yonge and Church, noon to 6 pm
  • Victoria Street between Dundas Street East and Shuter Street, noon to 6 pm
  • Wellesley Street between Jarvis and Queen’s Park Crescent East, 7 am to noon
  • Queen’s Park between College Street and Bloor Street West, 7 a.m. to noon

Besides the road closures, a swath of streets in the area will be closed for public parking. The best way to get to the festivities is by taking public transit.

To get to the Trans March and Dyke March, take Line 1 on the subway to Wellesley or College and walk to Charles and Church. To get to the Pride Parade, get off at Bloor-Yonge, Wellesley, College or Dundas, and walk to Bloor and Church.

The TTC is diverting several lines around Pride festivities.

  • the 506 Carlton will take an alternate route between Bay and Parliament from 8 to 9:30 pm on Friday, and from 2 to 5 pm on Saturday.
  • the 505 Dundas will take an alternate route between Spadina and Parliament from 12:30 to 7 pm on Sunday.

  • The 94 Wellesley will have fun from 12:01 am Friday to 7 am Monday, and the 19 Bay will have fun from 8 am to 12 pm on Saturday.
