Toronto cops search for SUV involved in hit-and-run

Toronto police have released a photo of a dark-colored SUV wanted in connection with a downtown hit-and-run on Friday night that left a woman seriously injured.

Authorities say the 36-year-old woman was crossing from the southwest corner to the southeast corner at Wellington St. W. and University Ave. around 7:15 p.m. when she was struck by a vehicle traveling west in Wellington.

She was taken to hospital with serious injuries and the vehicle fled south through the University.
