“School-wide dismissal is recommended as a precautionary measure to protect staff, students and the community from further transmission of COVID-19 within the school,” the spokesperson said. “School-wide layoffs can last up to 14 days, but the length may vary depending on the investigation.”
Toronto Public Health said it has notified its close contacts to stay home, monitor symptoms and get tested.
There is no official date for the students’ return to school due to the outbreak.
