(Bloomberg) — National Football League quarterback Tom Brady will join Fox Sports as an analyst once his playing career is over, the broadcaster said Tuesday.

Fox Corp. Chief Executive Officer Lachlan Murdoch announced the deal during an earnings call. Brady said in March that he would return to Tampa Bay for his 23rd season in the NFL after previously saying he was retiring. Over the course of his career, Brady has accumulated seven Super Bowl championships, three most valuable player awards and five Super Bowl MVPs.

Brady will join Fox as its lead analyst “immediately following his playing career,” Murdoch said, adding that the timing of when Brady will retire was “up to him.” Murdoch said Brady will call NFL games with Kevin Burkhardt and described the deal with Brady as a “long-term agreement.”

“We are delighted that Tom has committed to join the Fox team and we wish him all the best in this upcoming NFL season,” Murdoch said.

It’s been a busy time of musical chairs for football announcers. Fox’s move comes a couple of months after it lost two high-profile NFL announcers, Joe Buck and Troy Aikman, to ESPN’s “Monday Night Football.” Meanwhile, Al Michaels recently left his longtime post with NBC to call Thursday night NFL games for Amazon. Former cornerback Richard Sherman is also reportedly in talks to join Amazon’s NFL programming.

Fox’s Class A shares were little changed in early New York trading.
