Ben Sures: Longtime Edmonton singer-songwriter posted a delightful little promo song on Instagram for his upcoming show at Aden, singing about how in two months, when you’re working in the garden, “When you’re digging in the dirt in your brand- new Ben Sures shirt, you can remember what you heard.” This joyfulness is what I love about Ben, helping us dream of a happy spring from the vantage of this stubborn winter, and his shows by him are always full of thoughtful music and endearing self-deprecation.

Campus Pride: Both U of A and Grant MacEwan are in the midst of their annual Pride celebrations, the latter campus wrapping up today with Streaming with Pride — A Drag and Burlesque Celebration. Put on by Froot Loop Edmonton and featuring Holly Von Sinn, Kio Karr, Melinda Verga, Etherea Cree, Voula Callas, Celine Dejion and Audrian Linn, the show is broadcast free and donations can be made to SAMU Pantry, roughly MacEwan’s food bank. Details below, it’s open to everyone. Over at U of A, meanwhile, Friday’s events include Body Positive Yoga, Hip Hop Virtual Dance Class and Art Night, head to ualberta.ca/ismss for the full schedule through March 17.
