They propose that states give access to health to journalists

Morena, through the federal deputy, Sergio Gutiérrez Luna, presented an initiative so that journalists who work on their own account have social security and access to health.

The project of reforms to the Social Security Law and the General Health Law, which has already been turned over to committees of the Chamber of Deputies for their analysis and eventual ruling, proposes that journalists who are not linked to any media outlet have access to five insurances: work risks; diseases and maternity; Disability and life; retirement and unemployment in old age, as well as nurseries and social benefits.

To finance this scheme, the federal and state governments must contribute at least 10% of their annual budget for social communication. In no case may the percentage of the annual budget allocated to Social Communication be reduced in subsequent fiscal years.
