They project the generation of 100,000 jobs in Edomex

The recent announcement of investments for 29,795 million pesos for the State of Mexico could generate up to 70,000 indirect jobs, announced Gilberto Sauza Martínez, president of the Council of Chambers and Business Associations of the State of Mexico (Concaem).

This Sunday, the Mexican business leader explained that as a result of the fact that last week Concaem announced with state authorities that 12 investment projects were completed for the State of Mexico, the amount of which is close to 30,000 million pesos and which is expected to generate 29,900 jobs, a new analysis was projected.

Precisely, the study showed that each direct job position generated can trigger the creation of 2 to 3 indirect jobs in the entity.

“It is strengthened, so that around 70,000 additional indirect jobs could be achieved to the around 30,000 new jobs within the industries that can be installed,” he stressed.

He explained that the creation of these jobs is also positive given the fact that in the State of Mexico each year around 350,000 people from other entities join the population.

In this sense, he deepened, it will also seek to work hand in hand with local and state authorities, to promote comprehensive access to public, safety and health services for the population, “as well as in the development of complementary infrastructure in commercial matters, to generate a circle of value”.

“The arrival of new capital to the State of Mexico is the first big step to advance and consolidate the entity as an economic and development power in the center of the country,” he said.

“Investments are the tip of the iceberg for everything we can achieve from the arrival of large companies, but it is decision-making in smaller spaces that really permeates and improves the lives of the population on a daily basis,” he reiterated.

Importance

The president of Concaem indicated that in the face of a complex scenario, such as that of the last two years, new investments must be viewed as a primary issue, since it involves the political economy, the transformation and the development of new sectors.

“It is important that an in-depth industrial policy must tell us about comprehensive development, about investments in education, security, communication routes, health centers, consumption centers and, in general, about conditions that make people not only have a employment, but that they have a favorable environment to live with dignity”, he pointed out.

Sauna Martínez indicated that the announcement of investments that Concaem made last week is the start of a series of actions that the business sector will implement this year and that seeks to have a real impact on the quality of life of the population and in the reduction of inequality gaps.

“The increase in investment, mainly private, is a fundamental engine for the development of the country and the generation of employment, but it must go hand in hand with planning of the regions as a whole,” he stressed.
